Our name and the University of Cambridge

Cambridge Advanced Systems is an independent company. It is not a spin-out of the University of Cambridge, is not owned by, affiliated with or endorsed by the University, and does not act on its behalf. Members of our founding team studied at the University of Cambridge and keep academic and professional ties there.

Our name reflects the places called Cambridge around the world, above all Cambridge in England and Cambridge, Massachusetts, two cities long associated with science and engineering. We also share it with Cambridge in Ontario, Canada; Cambridge in the Waikato, New Zealand; Cambridge in Tasmania, Australia; and Cambridge, Maryland, in the United States.
